Police arrested a drug peddler with contraband substance in Chewa area of Bandipora.
Acting on a specific information, during checking at Chewa checkpoint, police station Sumbal intercepted a person and during checking, recovered 300 grams of Charas and 3 bags of raw material meant for preparing Charas from him. The drug peddler, identified as Irshad Ahmad Bhat son of Mukhtar Ahmad Bhat resident of Chewa was arrested.
Case FIR no 141/2017 under section 8/20 NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Sumbal and investigation was taken up.
